In terms of the spring rate, it may have been a bit of a trade off for solo. Wife liked over stock. Progressive springs up front are doing the job nicely. Basically, they're close to full race suspension, and 99% of people don't really need it. Fox and Racetech are both good, simple, well performing. Fox being more pricey than Racetech tho. There are old industry standards like Progressive and Bitubo.

The Xidas like to ride lower than the ohlins and the ohlins have less travel in the rear. The xidas feel more comfortable on the street (I think it's because the xidas have a dual spring set up to absorb little bumps and dips). But as far as performance goes, it's a coin toss between the two.
