I have a 1999 Monte Carlo Z34 with the 3800 Series 2 with 85k on it. Over the past 3k miles it has lost about 1 gallon of coolant, no leaks on the driveway at all so im sure I need to change the UIM. I am also going to pull the LIM and replcae the gaskets with the new GM aluminum ones...i figure why not.

You can always take off the dog bones then while in park rock the car back and fourth until the engine rocks forward then hit the ebrake. That will lock it in place until you release the ebrake.
