Have always liked going to Sandy Hook National Seashore in the summer & off season. Recently went in October for lunch at The Mule Barn Tavern located at the tip of Sandy Hook/Fort Hancock. This restaurant is a restored building at Fort Hancock. The restaurant is modestly decorated with high tables & chairs, booths & separate tables.
